Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for Specter GTO ("Specter," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Specter GTO LLC. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.
1. Plans and billing
Specter offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. The free tier is not charged. The Pro subscription is a recurring, automatically renewing subscription billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, on a monthly basis until you cancel. The current price, billing frequency, and what each plan includes are shown at the point of purchase before you provide payment information.
Specter Pro is a metered subscription: it includes a monthly allowance of usage, and additional usage beyond that allowance may require a one-time top-up purchase. The specific allowances, the price of any top-up, and how usage is counted are disclosed at checkout and in the Terms.
2. Automatic renewal
Your Pro subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged the then-current price, until you cancel. We disclose the automatic-renewal terms — that the subscription continues until cancelled, the amount and frequency of charges, and how to cancel — before you provide payment information, and we send a confirmation after your purchase. If we change the price of a future billing period, we will give you advance notice as required by applicable law.
3. Refunds — Pro subscription
New Pro subscribers can request a full refund within 7 days of their first Pro payment — just email us. After that, monthly payments are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of your current billing period. Free accounts are never charged.
The 7-day refund window applies only to your first Pro payment. Renewal payments after the first period are non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable law. We process approved refunds to the original payment method through Stripe.
4. Refunds — one-time top-up
A one-time top-up is a single, non-recurring purchase that adds additional usage to your account and does not expire. A top-up is refundable only if it is entirely unused — that is, if none of the additional usage it provided has been consumed. Once any portion of a top-up has been used, that top-up is non-refundable. Whether a top-up is unused is determined from your account's usage records.
5. How to request a refund
To request a refund, email hello@spectergto.com from the email address on your account, within the applicable window. Tell us which charge you'd like refunded. We may ask you to confirm account details to verify the request.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time, online, through the billing portal in your account — the same way you signed up. When you cancel, your subscription will not renew, and you keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not by itself refund a past charge (see sections 3–4).
7. Chargebacks and disputes
If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us first at hello@spectergto.com so we can resolve it quickly. Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback with your bank or card network without contacting us may result in suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the service or by email. Changes apply to billing periods that begin after the change takes effect.
