Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Specter GTO ("Specter," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Specter GTO LLC, handles information when you use our website and service.
1. Information we collect
- Waitlist details — if you join the waitlist, we collect the email address (and any details) you submit through our waitlist form provider.
- Account information — if you create an account, we collect the information needed to set it up and authenticate you, such as your email address.
- Billing information — paid subscriptions are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store full payment-card numbers ourselves.
- Usage and game-state data — to serve a decision, the service works with abstract game state (such as cards, positions, and stacks). See the section below.
- Device and log data — when you use the service, we and our infrastructure providers may process technical data such as IP address, browser type, and request logs to operate and secure the service.
2. How screen sharing is processed
The service is designed so that your shared table is read within your own browser, and only the abstract game state needed to look up a pre-solved decision is sent onward. During table-map setup, a screenshot is created and stored only on your own device (in your browser's local storage) to render the map preview; it is never uploaded or transmitted.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to provide and operate the service and serve GTO decisions; to create and authenticate your account; to process subscriptions and payments; to respond to support requests and communicate with you about the service; to maintain security and prevent abuse; and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your game-state data to build or train any AI model — every decision comes from a pre-solved lookup.
4. Third-party services
We rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate the service: Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (database, authentication, and backend infrastructure), Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), and a waitlist form provider for our waitlist. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy and only to the extent needed to provide its part of the service.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the service — for example, to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We may also use limited, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage and improve the service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not sell your personal information. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect core functionality.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and for a period afterward as required for tax, accounting, and legal compliance. Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or we no longer need them. The local table-map screenshot described above never leaves your device and is removed when you clear it or your browser's local storage.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@spectergto.com from the address associated with your account, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9. Children's privacy
Specter is intended for adults of legal age and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the service or by email.
